Versatile Bollywood Actor Irrfan Khan passes away at the age of 53

Born on 7th January 1967 in Jaipur Rajasthan, to a Muslim Pashtun family, Irrfan Khan, died on 29th April 2020. He was an outstanding Actor.The famous actor IRRFAN KHAN had a career span of over three decades. He had acted over 50 films and many international movies. He is well very known globally for his international movies named as: The Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, Life of a Pi and Jurassic World.




This famous actor passed away on 29th April, in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, due to colon infection. Earlier, he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. At that time he was recovered and was back to his movies work. He had said, “ Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect: Margaret Mitchell. The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. I request everyone to continue sending their wishes, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.”

After his recovery, he shoots his movie Angrezi Medium, a sequel of his hit movie, Hindi Medium.In an interview he said, “Hello, brothers and sisters. I am with you and not with you. This film, Angrezi Medium, is very special to me. I truly wanted to promote this film as passionately as we made it, but there are some ‘unwanted guests’ in my body and they’re keeping me busy. I’ll keep you informed on that front.”

Irrfan was an outstanding actor. All his films hit the box office. He has received so many awards. The list of his awards is:

• Screen award for best performance in a negative role for Maqbool, in 2004.
• In 2007, he won the Alliance of women Film Journalists, for Best seduction, for The Namesake.

2. International Indian Film Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor
3. Screen Awards for Best comedian




• In 2008, for the movie Slumdog Millionaire, he won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, by Screen

• In 2011, he won Padma Shri, award from former Indian President, Pratibha Patil.
