Nation is still debating on Masood Azhar, a global terrorist or not ?

It was today that the UN Security council was to declare Masood Azhar a global terrorist against peace. However, he seems to have a narrow escape with China raising a block on this proposal put forth by India at the UNSC, on the pretest of not getting enough substantial evidences against Masood Azhar.

US, UK and France stands by India with a proposal to ban Masood Azhar as a global terrorist to ensure a ban on his travel, his supply of arms and ammunitions and other financial support that his JeM troops get. This proposal is an initiative at the global level to handicap the JeM Lead and its entire terror troops which has time and again caused immense loss to India.

Azhar is the founder and the leader of the JeM, and he meets the criteria for designation by the United Nations,” Palladino told reporters at his daily news conference. The JeM, he said, has been responsible for numerous terrorist attacks and is a threat to regional stability and peace. The US and India work closely together on counterterrorism efforts, and that includes at the United Nations, he added, noting that their views on the JeM and its founder are well known. However, he refrained from making a direct comment on the deliberations inside the UN on this issue as all countries don’t seem to be in consensus, until now.

The JeM leadership has executed the Pathankot attack in 2016, the Pulwama attack in 2019 and the other terror attacks in the US along with Osama. They have caused terror on a global level multiple times. India has given proof of Audio tapes, video and satellite photages, whatsapp messages proof and much more as a proof of the terror attack activities done by JeM under the guidance of Masood. India has assured that despite China’s support the evidence given are strong enough for the UNSC to declare Masood a global terrorist.

On 13th March, USA has clearly opened up and strongly negated the stand of China and asked China to support the UNSC against Masood Azhar mentioning that neglecting action against terror can not just be dangerous globally but China might be left alone on the trade front. This is a clear cut warning to China to join hands with other nations in the global terror battle. Having said that Pakistan has turned red face given the global pressure. Though the whole scenario is a like a tough battle of nations for peace and tightening the activities of terrorist in Pakistan.
